Adalyn’s Candy Party

TAMPA, FLORIDA

Concept Design + Decor + PLANNING: Local Revival

Remember when you were little and were told too much candy would give you a stomach ache?

That was NOT the case for this candy-themed 1st birthday party for cutie Adalyn!

Local Revival went above and beyond to design and decorate the Wellswood Civic Center in Tampa, Florida, which held a special place in Adalyn’s mother’s heart as she also celebrated her first birthday here – a heartwarming fact learned by our team.

A candy theme was requested from the client, and the custom-made decor made by our team was the star of the show!

Two enormous ice cream cones were built using paper-mache techniques that the founder, Summer Taylor, remembered learning as a child. At over 6ft tall, these made a prominent statement that this party would be sweet!

Other items that were designed included Dum-Dum sucker centerpieces with brightly colored lollipops peeking out, brightly colored balloon centerpieces with hand-painted candy box signs, free-standing jumbo lollipops, coordinating themed signage, and oversized alphabet boxes that spelled out “O-N-E.”

We couldn’t have made a splash of color without the help from our friends and trusted vendors: Fancy That Specialty Linens who supplied linens and chair covers, and Balloonies for the incredible candy-coated balloon arch that framed the dessert table – which included… a candy bar! What else?!

Photos were beautifully captured by Laura Davis with LD Creative Co, who captured all the happiness and love that this delicious party derived from. A sweet success for the books!
