When Brad and Adriana were looking to go on an Italian vacation, they asked Rachel, our travel and destination management expert, to help them plan their romantic getaway. Si, naturalmente! (yes, of course!)
They’ve been dreaming of going to Italy for years. With all the fantastic food, history, culture, and wine, who could blame them? Never been to this area of the world before, they had no idea where to begin the planning process. Rachel started by narrowing down what region of Italy they wanted to visit: Rome and Venice. Next, she booked their flight and hotel accommodations. From there, the fun began. She worked with Brad and Adriana to plan a schedule to fill their vacation with the cultural experience they desired. Guided tours, transportation options (rail makes it easy to travel from city to city), and unique places for them to eat and shop. With all of that taken care of, all that was left was to go and enjoy!
Why was it beneficial to use a travel planner? Rachel was able to work with them to look for and book hotels that were centrally located and fit their budget. Planners also have access to special rates that usually people booking online can’t access. Through established relationships with vendors, she could also arrange tours and excursions that have exclusive benefits available only to their customers. From avoiding lines to insider tips and information to additional perks that can be thrown in as a bonus, her connections save time, money and make the experience hassle-free.
This was our first experience booking a trip through a travel agent and we are very glad we did.
